    Is the splotch stiff to the touch or soft? If it is stiff it may be a tumor of sorts. But I am by no means a veterinarian and have had no past experience with this kind of situation. I would advise you to call a herp vet, even if they are not in your area! If you call one they might be able to give you some advise. Best of luck and I hope your snake gets better soon!
