    Or he has different depths of substrate. Or different substrate. I'm guessing you know this OP but with any form of belly heat, the substrate should only be about 1/4" or at most 1/2" deep. Anything deeper on the unregulated UTH will give you the problems you are having since it will basically retain all that heat but being that it's unregulated by the t-stat, it will just continue to get hotter and hotter.

    That's why i said each cage should have its own t-stat because we all know snakes do stupid stuff at any given time. It's our jobs to minimize the chances of them hurting themselves from said stupid stuff lol. I've had Caesar get himself stuff in a plastic loop on his vine as a baby. Also had him push his temp/humidity gauge into his water bowl.
