Appropriate size of objects in tank

So I learned a few days ago that the size of the tank matters. Because if it is to big the snake will get stressed. I had already bought some things and wanted to know if an extra large hide is to big for a snake of 500 grams? And if so what size should I get?
Also what size bowl? I was told it had to be big enough for the snake to fit it's whole body in is that true? And a big bowl helps with humility so should I get a smaller one?

This is how my tank set up will look but I will be adding more plants.

It's kinda difficult to offer too much advice at this stage and people's opinions on Viv / tank sizes differ so much .
I actually rather like bigger vivs as long as there are plenty of hiding places / quiet corners . That can be done easily with a two or more hides and loads of branches and pieces of dried bark . Sadly those two hides you've got there are far from ideal as they're both open- ended which offer very little security . I'd get two or three snake hides ( one opening) .

It's ideal time to make sure you get the basics bought though ... not sure what kind of heater you're going for but a thermostat is VITAL even though many shops will not mention them or say they're not required . They are .
Also get a couple of thermometers with wired probes and even a digital temp gun ( £10 off eBay) .

Can you recommend any hides? I am well aware of the importance of a thermometer. I just really need help with the hides and I think you very much for your concern.

Here is another hide I have.
It is a grey rock like hide that is closed up. It has 3 openings though.

Im not a fan of those fake looking ones plus they're too lightweight IMHO .

Something like these natural looking ones ( and heavier - more secure ) from Exo-Terra .

Can't really see where the openings are - no use if they are on each end as its really like a little tunnel rather than a secure cave.
