New BP owner - is he too skinny? How old?

If you've only had him for a week and have been handling and having him crawl around your bed along with offering food twice in that time it's not surprising he didn't eat. New bps shouldn't be handled at all besides initial checks/weight or clean ups until they're eating consistently. I know it's hard to leave your new cute guy alone and he seems to be acting fine but the new environment on top of handling is a big stress on them even if they don't show it. I'd go at least a solid week without handling before even offering food again.

Haha yeah I tried feeding him twice but each time he looked right past it and was more interested in the digital thermometer/hygrometer in his cage :p I'm hoping this Tuesday he'll be more used to his new environment. Do you suggest feeding him inside the cage still?

Well .... as above ... I'd leave him alone for a week or so before trying to feed . He needs time to settle down and relax so no more handling or anything . Just water changes .

Thanks Cletus! Just giving an update, he's 144 grams so he's a very small boy! I held him to weigh him and add another fake plant to his enclosure, as well and check his temps and cage, and then I immediately put him back. This has been the coldest his cold side has ever been, which is 73.5 so I'm wondering what to do about that :/

Insulate the tank in foam board and modify the lid to hold humidity a d heat better. There's a bunch of posts with tips on how exactly.

Just insulated with foam boards a few hours ago and I use a wet washcloth to help with the screened top!
