Thanks and honestly, i dont think she cares haha. She spends most of her time inside one of her hides and then in the evenings, she will sometimes sit half out of a hide just lounging. She is the ultimate in lazy lol.

So i wake up this morning to find a nice rolled up shed in Dottie's warm hide. Kind of funny as she hasnt eaten in 4 months yet she shed and grew. Go figure.

Interesting. My BP fasted 6 months and did not shed till she had a few meals in her. I think it was like 280ish days since her last shed.

Now keep in mind that she is 16 years old, so no real growth expected.

Dang i thought 4 months was pretty long. Six months blows me outta the water haha. Oh she also dropped a huge urate too after shedding which amazed me as well.

And Dottie will be 4 years old this November.

Hahah yeah Geoffrey just came off a 6 month fast a little over a month ago. He turns 8 sometime this summer I'd guess. He's an '09 hatchling.

Well thats good to know. I was actually starting to worry a little as Dottie usually just goes about 3 months without food but that usually ends around Mar. This year she has been weird and didnt actually quit eating until Feb where as she usually quit around Nov/Dec. Maybe the weird weather we've been having up here has thrown her off. her weights are still fine. She weighed 1620g before shedding and urate dropping, now after she is 1605g so i guess that big urate could have been 15g.

The other snakes seem happy Dottie isnt eating as Caesar was digging an extra rat every week but now that he is on jumbo rats, he has issues trying to figure out small rats haha. They are tiny compared to him. Vicky likes them though as she is on medium rats so smalls arent too bad for her but i dont like to feed her a small rat every week. She already seems to be on the chunky side to me lol.

Last year Elvira fasted for 9 months. I was beginning to get concerned that time.
