Why don't you read the links I posted earlier? It will clear everything up.

Do your own research before getting the snake.

OH ok never mind sorry. I know what you meant :p And yes, I've done lots of research, It's just very helpful to ask your own questions on forums :) But I'm defiantly not close to an expert in any way XD Ty for the link tho, it's very helpful :)

I have another question. Does it matter what morph you get? Like is there a difference if you were to get a Blue Eyed Leucistic compared to a normal? I've looked it up and found a couple different answers.

No, they're all ball pythons with the same care. The only thing is some morphs are prone to genetic defects, but you would know when you pick out your snake.

I'd say be sure to locate a near by reptile vet and have some mite treatment handy. Provent-a-mite is the best one. Have a back up plan if you ever have to deal with a power outage or if you'll be out of town. Basically, think of all the things that may go wrong or present complications and look into how you will handle it. Always good to think ahead and be prepared in case things go down.

Take your time on the research, and don't forget to research products as well!

Welcome to the forum, there's a lot to answer here, so I'll do my best....

Research, research and more research. You're off to a good start doing your homework beforehand.

Yes, you can keep your BP in the same room as you GPs. My snakes share a room with my ferrets and have never complained
I saw a mention of temp concerns with your animals sharing a room, mine do with no problem. It was also mentioned that an RHP or UTH might not be enough to heat the enclosure properly. Well, a UTH is for hot spot only and not ambient temps. So yes, you will likely need an additional heat source.

Read through the stickies on this forum and follow them. Whichever enclosure style you choose, there are stickies to help you get everything you need set up and set up right the first time. I use glass, for now, and have no issues at all, it's just a little more work. I will be adding PVC eventually, when funds allow, but have no issues with glass.
A 20 gallon would be fine for a while, and probably forever with a male, but I prefer 40 gallon breeder tanks.
You can easily cut a piece of cardboard to fit the screen lid, cut out a hole for your lamp/CHE (which you will need for ambient temps, unless your house stay above 78 all the time) and wrap the cardboard in foil. The foil keeps heat/humidity in, while just cardboard helps with heat but actually absorbs moisture, draining humidity.

If you're doing your homework on this forum you'll learn pretty quickly who the experienced, successful keepers are and you should follow their advice.

I probably should have clarified about the UTH itself not doing anything for ambient temps, but ambients being influenced by the house/room's temps if a UTH is used alone, since there is no good way to install any additional heat sources in a tub set up (if op goes that route) which is why I thought it was worth noting.

So op I apologize for any confusion, Craiga cleared everything up on what you need to know.
