    Make sure your setup is good to go and you should be off to a good start...

    My advice is get some good pics during and after the unboxing. Then, let him settle in. The temptation is tough, but try to pretend he's not there for the first week. Just daily checks, water and that's about it.
    Once he's a bit settled get a meal in him and let him digest for at least 24 hours. After that, minimal handling is ok, but it's still best to hold off. Get another meal in him and if he's accepting regularly increase handling sessions but still don't over do it.
    I like to make sure my snakes readily accept 3 meals before I do too much handling. So far I've had good luck and they have all accepted their first 3 offerings. They at all sweethearts too.
