    Are you sure it's a follicle? Maybe it's just a mucous plug? I would consider using some dental floss and tieing off the mass a short distance from the attachment point on the egg. Kind of like tieing off a umbilical cord. Maybe for added insurance, tie it off in two places and cut in between the ties. Plan B would be to describe the condition to your exotic vet for another impression or form of treatment approach. Hope things work out for the better.
