I'd go with the five inch water bowl. I don't like my bowls so big that the snake can sit in them, they really don't need to soak, and it keeps the drinking water cleaner. I spray down my substrate twice a week with water and spray down the snake at the same time, all but their heads. Keeps them clean and doesn't make a mess. I use a 2 gallon pump up sprayer from Home Depot. I actually use Dixie cups with PVC couplers. I love the fact I can swap out the Dixie cups real fast and save them for a rainy day to wash them up instead of washing a ton of bowls on cleaning day. They only heavy bowl I have is for my reticulated python, her head is about as big as this PVC coupler LOL. Of course if you have more of a display tank instead of a tub then the heavy bowl may look better (better curb appeal LOL).
