These are the absolute closest to the German Brats taste I have found. They are awesome. I have hooked many people on those. Grilled nice and brown, almost crispy...YUMMY. Only ones we buy anymore
As for bread, closest I have come to German Brötchen are the "Chicago rolls" at Publix. Especially if you buy them before the afternoon, when they are still fresh. I buy them fresh (crunchy outside, soft inside) and then freeze them. Popped frozen into microwave for 20 seconds and they taste like fresh
