Escape snake question

The best thing is to make sure the snake can't escape. Not matter what type of enclosure you have, there are ways to make it secure.

to piggyback on this: make a habit of checking at night or after opening the cage; make yourself learn and KNOW you've closed/locked the tank whenever it's opened. the best safety measures are the preemptive ones. make sure you NEVER know the panic of an empty enclosure. it took two escapes for me to learn those good habits, and that's two too many.
