New pick ups! Entering the panda pied project.

Black pastel 100% het pied female

Pied male (with a kinda hilarious pattern on his neck... gorgeous orange on him though!)

A beautiful animal and a very difficult project. When those turn out they are amazing. I have only seen one Panda Pied in person and his head was at 90 degrees to his body. The owner was trying to keep him alive by tube feeding.

It's a nice pair and a long project, but nothing more rewarding than producing what you really want!

Yikes! The breeder I got these from is very reputable and has produced super black pastel stuff before.. he told me I need to incubate at 85 degrees, increase moisture in the egg tubs and avoid cutting the eggs in order to minimize deformities.

I have never tried it myself. What the breeder is telling you is inline with things I have heard but I honestly have no clue if it makes a difference or not. Please keep us updated as to how things go.
