    also if you think about the sexist implication of "Crazy Cat Lady": lots of cats = lots of work which means she pays more attention to her cats than she ever would to a suitor. maybe it's a jealousy thing? but there's definitely no jealousy when it comes to snakes; most are pretty simple to care for.
