Mine is constantly poking his head out, watching me hahaha. I rarely see him with his head in his hide. He is still a bit shy about handling though and when I stick my head in he loosely balls up. As soon as he's out he seems super calm... but he has his moments. He has acting less 'friendly' last night but this morning I took him out just to check over for injuries and stuff because his behaviour was weirding me out... and he was super placid. I wish I understood better haha.

Re: Does Anyone Else's Snake do this?
so I'm new and just got my first bp. she's about 4mo and she does the same thing during certain hours (usually right about the time I'm getting ready for work, like 3pm ish) then later around 10pm when i get back is when ill see if she wants to come out to play. she crawls up my arm when i put my hand in as an "offer". sometimes after I've put her back shell actually tap the glass as if she wants to come out to play again lol. she chills on her warm side in a hide during the day so i don't think she's stressed just curious at night? she's a real sweetheart and i'd like to think she likes me. or she's just using me to see the rest of the apt lol.

Both my adult male and my young girl does this. Whenever I hairdry my hair next to her vivarium, she pops out to see what's going on.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the enormous heat signagure given off by your blow dryer.

Eric, you're crazy. There is NO way a heat signature would set a predator with heat pits off.
Nah, sometimes it's before I even turn it on.

LOL. I love that. Heck, I even have to remember to move my oil filled radiator to the opposite side of the room on feeding day. I almost learned the hard way with a BIG girl that it must look exactly like a giant rat. I've never seen her fly out of her tub or move faster than she did that night. I can only imagine what she must've been thinking.

I know this isn't a great situation, but imagine how excited the snake would be if you were stood in front of a volcano, and it started erupting. Snake must think it's Christmas.
