    You're off to a good start! I highly recommend swapping out your half log hide for two cave-like hides with only one entrance. Ball pythons like to feel really secure with the hide snugly touching them on all sides. Plus it's good to have a hide on each side of the enclosure so the snake doesn't have to choose feeling secure over getting warm/ cooling down.

    Also do you have a thermostat for your UTH? It's really important because without a thermostat the UTH can reach dangerously high temps and harm the snake.
