Re: what is the chance of getting mites after adding a new snake to your collection?
I can't seem to find a thread on this, so if there is a link could someone share it for proper quarantine procedures please. I've heard mixed suggestions...same room different area of the house, etc....I'm picking up a snake next week and want to do it properly. Thank you in advance.

Eric with the knowledge bomb again - thank you very much.
(by the way - I've shared your feeding chart with local friends and they thought it was great too)

when I started out with my boa and wanted to do a bio-active planted set up, I was out right told on another forum that I would have no way to control mites. almost 3 years on and no mites... was feeling pretty good. then we got two BP's from two different places and they both have mites. so for me it's 2/3 chance. they are not a big deal to get rid of/manage, kind of more of a head trip to get over seeing them and having them crawl on you than anything else.
