Which Tstat to purchase?
Hello,
I currently have a Hydrofarm Jumpstart Tstat attached to the outside of my UTH with aluminum foil duct tape under the tank, but have been reading some posts that people do not like them and they eventually will fail. I use a tempgun to measure the surface temp of the substrate and the glass under the substrate on the warm side. I have been looking into getting a Herpstat, but I have no idea which one to get. I only have one ball python setup right now using a Zoo Med UTH. I just feel like I hear the Hydrofarm clicking on and off too much and would like to have a more constant temp for my snake.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I hope I have the Hydrofarm hooked up correctly for now.

HerpStat Intro+
all the safety features of the higher-up models but with a more affordable price. i just bought two of them after using the JumpStarts for a few years and i am so so happy with them. i can't believe it took me so long to get away from the on/off style 'stats.

Perfect, so the Herpstat Intro+ will do everything I need, no need to get the actual Herpstat 1?

Thank you for your input, I saw those models too and was deciding between it or a Herpstat.

+1 on herpstat. I use a herpstat 2, will run like 5 racks no issue lol.

i wouldn't think so, at least not for just one snake. the differences between the two are fairly minor so i wouldn't think it would be worth the extra money. just my

a herpstat intro will more than cover you with only one set up and a UTH. I bought a 2 because I have some big expansion plans and wanted 1 stat to at least run two racks.
