    Snake hasn't pooped

Have had him for just over a month... ate 4 fuzzy rats. He's about 1.5 years old the breeder told me.

Hasn't pooped...is this normal since he is young i've read they absorb most of the food?
I have placed him in warm water but it didn't make him go

has he shed? my guy would usually wait until he shed to release an unholy mess in his viv. i wouldn't worry about warm baths to help movement; he'll go when he needs to.

Yes he had a long rough first shed. I had to stick him in water and handle him a lot to help remove his shed. I wouldn't pull it off, but i would kind of squish him and let him slither out of it.
He has a nice wood log to climb and rub on but that didn't help.

Okay I will let him go on his own time, thank you !

when you notice sheds bump up the humidity to about 70%; you can use sphagnum moss to dampen and place in one of his hides. that should help him have a better shed next time 😀

Fuzzy rats and a year and a half? What is his weight?
Under feeding will not create anything to come out the back end.

i misread the age in the OP. fuzzies are way too small for the average 1.5 year old.

To give you an idea I have hatchlings out of the eggs taking fuzzy rats

If the animal is 1.5 years and eating fuzzy rats I can only assume that

A/ It is severely underweight and has been close to starved

B/ YOU are severely underfeeding it if the animal is within healthy weight range

    C/ The age is wrong

To come back to the question is comes down to feeding, age and how much of the prey is used for growth. It can be once a week like it can be every 4 to 8 weeks or more.

Right now the important is to assess whether this animal is fed properly based on size.
