DAP "All purpose adhesive sealant, aquarium safe"

It just won't hold on to the plastic of the tub. Perhaps it works better on glass ??

Just went back to the 1st page and seen the Pic. Thats odd, did all of them pop off or just one? Maybe just a fluke because It says 100% Silicone Adhesive. Who knows but looks like your all set now hahhaha and it looks like there happy as well
    2 popped off.

The one in the male tub. He is a bit of a horn dog and since breeding started he is all over his tub pushing, digging, etc.

Then one more in a female tub, she likes to cram herself in between stuff. I guess she crammed to hard.

After the second one I tested another one and it really didn't even take any effort at all. Popped right off.

Well, minor setback in the big picture, LOL.

You should see his tub in the morning !!!

I mean, its a tub. With aspen. And a water dish.

Yet he manages to make it look like a hurricane went through there, sheesh !!!!

I don't know what he is doing in there...but I can only assume its some kind of horn-dog dance..

I used "Loctite Tub & Tile" Seal & Bond.

It is scrub and mildew resistant. I bought the "clear". It goes on white, but as it dries, it turns "clear".

I've used it before when I glued what seemed like millions of tiny glass tiles on my bathroom mirrors (did a mosaic surround) and it worked great.
But...it DOES hold. I'm not sure the adapters would be easily removable anymore. Ever. But to me, that is quite alright. I had already tested how this worked with the ones that popped off and I was quite sure that I wanted the adapters to stay where they are.

Just make sure you make the bead along the pvc big enough so that a tiny big squeezes out all around when you carefully push down the PVC on the tub. Not to much, of course. You want it to cure correctly. Just enough so you know you have a seal all around and no liquids can seep underneath the PVC.

The only thing I can't believe now is that I waited SO LONG to do something like this.

For 6 years now I've been getting annoyed with the snakes dumping their water !!

What was really maddening was that they would usually wait until right after I cleaned the tubs and added fresh aspen.
I would walk by and see crazy condensation..yup, half the water in the tub and I would have to change out half the aspen AGAIN.

Or change water all the time because they managed to push some substrate into the dishes. Or move the dishes around again because they pushed them over the heat tape.

    Ugh.

I've tried so many different dishes, too. Found ones that won't tip all the way, but they still managed to tip them enough to empty out half the water.

So ask me again why I waited SO LONG to rectify this issue... LOL
