Why would my Herpstat drop this low?

Has anyone had this problem of their herpstat or thermostat dropping really low? I have it set at 95F but want to know why on earth would it drop into the mid 80's.
Thanks

No I don't have a night drop setting. I just woke up this morning and saw that it was at 86F. It's controlling a UTH

I'm having steady issues with UTH's right now as well...one gets far too hot and the other can't get to temp...my probe says its right on what I have it set though...do you have it plugged directly into the tstat? The one I have plugged directly to the tstat works flawlessly, but the ones I'm using on a surge protector are jumping in temps.

Door left open during a cleaning?? Mine swings nowhere near that much.

I do believe I plugged it into the tstat. The white outlet attached right?

No that was my reading from this morning. However when I woke up it was 43F outside and it was freezing in my house (I live in Florida btw so this is weird). Do you think that could of been the problem?

yup, an ambient temp change that drastic could easily cause your temps in the tank to alter. That's my guess.

Re: Why would my Herpstat drop this low?
Well this should have nothing to do with tank temps assuming your probe is between the UTH and enclosure, like it should be. Your room would have to be pretty darn cold for the UTH to be maxed out at 86F. Was the Herpstat running at 100% or do you have some limit on the amount of power it can feed the UTH? Make sure your probe is installed properly between the UTH and enclosure.

I dont have this problem on the Matt that is hooked to my Herpstats but I do have this problem for the one on a dimmer I use for quarantine. I couldnt figure out why once I get it steady that a ambient temp change effects the temp of my Heat Mat itself.... Then thinking about how a Dimmer works I think I found my problem... The power used (mines just over 1/2) on my dimmer struggles if the air drops (which it does in NY from 40 during the day to 15 at night) and the 1/2 power doesnt have enough juice to keep it up 91 during a drastic temp drop.
I don't see the percentage power your tstat is running on?
