my boy has escaped twice: first time i found him under my fridge about 10ft from his tank (studio apartment wooo), the second time he managed to stuff himself in a box of shoes that was in my closet. i've come to find they're never that far from their enclosure. check literally everything, even in places where you think "there's no way" check anyway. good luck!
