    Bad shed?

So, I've had my young bp for almost a year now, and each time she sheds its always terrible. Her normal humidity usually hangs around 50-60%. This time I made sure that as soon as I saw her go into blue, to raise the humidity to around 70% at times a little higher, but never falling below 60. She was in blue for around a week, and then she came out of it for a few days, and then nothing. Today however, my dad noticed some bits of shed around the tank, and so I picked her up for a second to see what was up, and she was having another bad shed! UGH! I just cannot get this right! I've kept the humidity up for two weeks to ensure that she'd get this perfect one piece shed that everyone talks about. I don't know if she's just lazy (I know she roams her tank a lot at night though, but recently not as much), or if my husbandry is wrong somehow? This is so frustrating! It can't feel good for her either, and I would like to completely clean her tank and I've been waiting for her to shed so I wouldn't have to stress her out.

What is your husbandry and what are you using to monitor humidity and temperature?

I know they are known for being quite inaccurate, but I have two gauges that read both humidity and temp from different producers (not sure the brand names, they are probably from zoo-med or other things found in the pet store, I haven't been able to get an electric one yet) though I'm fairly certain they are mostly accurate. Cool side reads between 75 and 80 degrees F and hot between 85 and 90. and currently the cool side has around 70% humidity while the warm has around 65%. I have both a heat lamp and belly heat, though I feel like the heat lamp might be baking her skin on even though she is in a hide (its one of the lower watts)? She usually chills all day on her UTH and doesn't normally switch sides to regulate temp

    UTH regulated?
90 is for a hot spot (UTH) Not ambient temperature.
Those stick on guages are junk and dont measure ant surface temperatures. Your abient temperatute should only be about 80 degrees.

No I have not got around to buying one either. My biggest problem with all of these electrical things is I have almost filled one extension with six outlets (with my UTH, heat lamp, technology ect) so I do not really have the apt amount of outlets to fulfill a bunch of thermostats and regulators and stuff like that. I also don't know how a lot of them work either, if they would share the same outlet? I really am against filling a bunch of outlets for fear of the circuit blowing.

unplug the UTH immediately. they are dangerous when unregulated. ALL sources of heat MUST be regulated.

UTH plugs into 'stat, 'stat to wall, done. they're quite literally plug and play.

thermostat is the only thing plugging into the wall (UTH plugs into 'stat), getting rid of the lamp frees up a spot.
regulated devices don't really pull that much power, unregulated ones run constantly and are more of a risk in many more ways than one.
