Really?! I'm surprised, considering they seem like the ideal snake- they get a decent size, not too big, not too small; absolutely beautiful; not super expensive; docile personalities. Is there any reason they aren't more popular?

I think they're relatively popular, for a more "exotic" snake. You could join the "Dumeril's boa lovers" group on facebook- everyone there has a dum or two!
