I know this is a somewhat controversial opinion, but I would look for a tub with some height to it. I know tons of BP's live and breed just fine in rack tubs with 6-8" of head room. But BP's can and will climb if given the opportunity. Even though they do spend most of their time sitting around, an appropriate amount of movement and exercise is healthy for every animal.
Additionally, if you have height you can put in platforms and multi-level hides as well as branches/perches, which effectively increases the living area the snake gets.
It's a little bit harder to heat a taller enclosure, but it's really not *that* hard. And once the setup is figured out for your house's conditions, it's done and you will barely have to think about it.
If you don't want to go with a viv (which also doesn't have to be expensive necessarily and is much more attractive than a tub), people seem to like big christmas tree storage tubs. They're a seasonal thing, but you can probably still find them.
