CHE Question

Do CHE's have a bi-metallic heater or another type of thermal overload in them? I have 2 now that won't stay on all the time, only periods of time. It's plugged straight into a dimmer, no thermostat.

Not the new one, but have on the old one. I'm watching it right now and waiting for it to kick out again.

I have a few days to get it lined out as I'm setting up a new cage. Will use the existing stat on new cage.

Same fixture?
Have you taken the ceramic apart and made sure the two screws are tight?

Spare fixture but I will check the terminal screws

The cord leads had stakon ring terminals on them and one term screw was a little loose. (Not enough that I thought it would have caused a problem) Tightened it up and the problem seems to have been fixed. Thanks Pit!
