    On/Off-----What you have will have a swing from the set temperature. If its +/-2 degrees this means it should function between 87 to 92 degrees is set for 90 degrees.

    Proportional and Dimming will adjust the power output to keep the heat output at or close to your set temperature.

    Pulse will either rapidly or slowly pulse the power to get your temperature to the setting.

    Probe placement is the key to getting a good set-up and its different per environment as none of our houses are identical.
