RHP Hot spots

Got my t8 all setup and the hide temps seem perfect, however I noticed the outside hot spots below the rhp are rather high at times (91-95). Is this OK? If I drop the temp setting then hides would be too cold.

Your just about on.. 89-92 is good basking...& dont think any thermometer is perfectly spot on anyway..
What kind on tstat are you using? Just kick it down a couple degrees so it doesnt go over 92 and your all good.

Moved the probe to hotside and seems to be much more stable. Only concerns- ran the probe through the hole for RHP cord as seen mentioned here. Herpstat mentions keeping cords separated as much as possible, is this an issue?
Also since the cord is on top do T8' stack with a slight gap or no gap? Want to make sure cord doesn't get smashed.

Stack? Are you saying you have more than one T8? If so use a little spacer/shim if you want. Some have a "milled/machined" groove to run your cord.. But i dont think you'll have a problem anyway.
As far as the Herpstat.. I see everyone running them like this, myself included...some of us run Herpstat 4's... with cords running everywhere like Highways hahahahah.
I think your good but maybe someone else has a opinion...

I run 2 Herpstat 2 and 2 Herpstat 1 and I got probe wires and plugs going all over and it all works fine.

I have my T10s all stacked with no gap but I use flexwatt for everyone. If you didn't have your RHPs drop shipped to AP and had them install them with routed channels in the roof for the cords, my best advice is run the plug wire inside the cage on the roof and secure it with cable clamps and then drill a hole out the back wall. Also you can do like what Ali at Ap told me and butt the RHP against a side wall and run the plug wire out the side and then secure it outside the cage along the side wall.

Now with all that said, if you already got the hole and stuff on the top of the cage, then you will need to do what Ali also told me and that is buy furniture pucks. measure how thick the plug wire is. Remember though that you don't want too tall or the lineup/lock pins wont work and then your cages can shift.

Thanks guys perfect!!! Channel is there an AP did do the install. I'm going to be ordering another T8 but don't have it so wasn't sure on stacking!!
