I've never had that issue.
To make sure I understand. You moved the pobe and where it is now hanging your temp gun says the wall is 94. But the tstat price is showing it is only 88.
Is that correct?
If it is it sounds like something needs calibrating. Some temp guns do have settings that you can change.
You need to find something you know the temp of to check the temp gun and work from there. If the batteries are old putting some fresh ones could help.
