I agree with Neal. I would simply issue a refund less whatever portion of the payment was agreed to be non-refundable since you have not received a response from the buyer for over a week after the last time you reached out to him.
Also, how do you know that the banana female he "sold" was yours? Could it have been another one from his collection? Did he use your picture to advertise it?
