I would send him a couple more emails or PMs and if you don't hear from him in 2 weeks, I would call it a wash and just relist it. I wouldn't report him as you got to keep the 20% down payment. Just consider that room and board plus food for the snake lol. I mean if the poor sob got hit by a hurricane and lost a bunch of stuff and is selling off his collection, he probably has a lot more pressing issues than worrying about the one snake. I'd feel for him if it really happened.
