In my opinion, PVC enclosures are the best for any species with humidity requirements. My first choice is Animal Plastics. They have great quality items at prices you won't find anywhere else. And if you order a heat panel as your heat source, they will install it for you if you have it shipped to them, no extra charge. There are other good manufacturers out there, but there prices are a bit higher, and the quality is pretty much the same.

I was was looking at the ap cages. I see they have flex heat should I get that? What size would be best for a bp? What add ins should I get? They have things like 8inch screens, basking ledge and so on so was wondering which ones are good for a bp if I want them to have the best cage possible.

For a BP you want the T8 enclosure; I don't think there's an option for a ledge with this one, but that's unnecessary for a BP. Depending on your needs get the divider. If you want heat tape, it's cheaper to order some and do it yourself. I have the sliding glass door option and have seen others recommend the same. Lights are a nice feature - they have an LED option not on their website. You can also have them machine in the groove and order/install lights for cheaper.

Thank you both very much. What about the screens?? Should the cage have those?

I think the screens are for lights. I wouldn't bother with those.

Re: Where to order a tank from?

The circular screens are for heat lamps and such. Not good for holding humidity. I use radiant heat panels in all of my pvc enclosures, and I love them! I'm not a fan of heat tape. You can install lights if you want. Ball pythons don't need the lights, but it comes in handy when you're cleaning. And the locks are alright, but you can get a locking mechanism yourself and save some money. I use sliding window locks that you can pick up for a few dollars at hardware stores. And made a rubber bumper out of automotive vacuum line.

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! And remember, there are multiple ways to create good enclosures, in the end, a lot of it boils down to personal preferences.
