Yzmasmom, Ripley is an awesome name - i love naming for my favorite fictional characters - seriously, i dont only use food and drink names
Thanks! She's my husband and he picked it out. Yzma is mine. She's named after the character on The Emperors New Groove.

Hahahahaha it would be ok if you did only name after food. Food is good!!!!

    She's a beauty!
Question: what are your other pets named? Sometimes keeping a similar naming scheme helps.
so besides food, drink, and African ecoclimatic regions, how about songs? does your favorite band/performer have any songs that would make a good name?

I used to put a lot of thought into naming but now the kids usually insist on something before the snake is even home. I just go with it lately. My newest BEL hold back is "Olaf"

You can also thick of favorite places or geographical features, etc. My snake is named Hoosac, which is a railroad tunnel. Although we sometimes call him Hoosatonic, which is a river near said tunnel. No reason really, except that it's a long tunnel and a snake is a long animal.

LOL, my son (3 at the time) is really into cars which is why the fish is named Convertible. - The cats' names all stem from my fascination with New Orleans, obviously. (by the way, 'Fess is, in fact, a long-haired cat)

Eventually something will come to you.

It took a while to name my normal., but the names I use are related to their morphs. The butter is Brickle, the champagne is Bubbles, and the normal is Callista, because Callista means most beautiful one, and she can use the extra (niceness? distinction? I'm not sure of the word for it) of a name like that, since most people don't value normals as much as the other morphs.

She's pretty. How about Sunrise? Maybe naming her after an orange or yellow flower like Peony or Black-eyed Susan?
1.0 bp butter "Brickle" the friendly explorer
0.1 bp champagne "Bubbles" the shy one
0.1 bp normal "Callista" the little one
