    Reptile Basics Cage

Persephone (killer bee) is growing fast and needs bigger hides but needs a bigger cage along with it. I've been searching for a T8 or similar new or used on Craigslist and Fauna and I have found plenty but know one wants to ship. I know I could wait the 3-4 weeks but I get impatient sometimes. Anyways someone on fauna told me that she bought a 4x2x1 from RBI and it only took 8 days from the day she ordered to receive it. My question is for anyone that owns one how is the quality and what is the material thickness? If anyone owns one and a AP cage how do they compare in quality?

Pics of the RBI cage? It's hard to tell quality from a pic so that's why I was reaching out to those who own or have seen it in person. But here is a link to it in case it helps in anyway.

Buying first snake, which size cage to get

    Hey guys,

I'm buying a snake like this month (after I get the setup). I've got all my things picked out:
    UTH + controller
dual light fixure (day and night)
2 thermometers and hyrometers (one for each side)
    a bowl
    coconut husk bedding
two hides, one cool and one warm.
    timer for lights to change.

The thing is, I'm getting a baby snake (looking for under 100g). and unsure of what size tank to get? 20/ 40 gal. or like 18X12X12? like i really have no idea. I want it to last, so please help?

not doing the breeding style. i would like a glass wall to look through.

also, where is the best place to get food in your opinions? cheaper, but not like gonna give disease lol

Let me know what ya'll think!

    Thanks!

    -Paul

You might want to make a new thread, instead of hijacking someone else's thread. You'll get more answers that way too!

I have two racks from RBI and it's true, they do ship extremely fast and are of very high quality. I'm not sure on the thickness of their cage though and it doesn't say on their website. You could email to ask what they make it with. My larger rack is made out of 1/2" PVC and the other is made of 3/8", so it seems they use whatever is appropriate for strength.

That said, I love my T8 and prefer the sliding glass doors that can be easily removed and RBI doesn't offer that. I just ordered another T8 and will be sticking with AP for my cages.

    Re: Reptile Basics Cage

I've had RBI cages in the past and loved them. I currently have AP T8 and love it also. I do prefer the glass sliding doors that AP offers though.

I don't think you can go wrong with either company or their products. Both companies offer exceptional customer service also.

    Re: Reptile Basics Cage

I prefer sliding doors also, all but one has them. I like AP quality, I have a T10 and I'm very impressed especially with how little they cost. Being that the T8 will stack perfectly on top of my T10 I should wait the 3-4 weeks but it's so hard to lol. I'll probably wait another week to make a decision and see if I can find one local or if someone decides they will ship me one.
