Male BEL GHI PASTEL i produced

I bred my male pastave GHI to a Lesser female and hatched out this BEL GHI PASTEL. I was very shocked when we started looking him over and a friend noticed he has a orange stripe down his back. Then with the aid of a florecent blacklight we could see the GHI marking along with dark ridges in his eyes. So here are the pictures of him. , .

Well because mojave and lesser make blue eyed lucy and the markings are differant. That along with the dark marks in the eyes instead of just blue thats another clue. I have produced BEL before and they never looked like this

a Lesser Mojave GHI is a clean white BP. however under blacklight - a stripe and hints of side pattern/alien heads appear. check it out - http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...Blue-Eyed-Lucy there was another member on this board that had one and said the same thing. i think the addition of the Pastel gene makes those patterns visible. i've seen similar patterns in Karma BEL's and combos.

See I was curious because having pattern on the back is common and also inconsistent among various BEL morphs. Some of the same genes look all white, others the faint yellowing or black light visible pattern. I'm just not really familiar with the GHI gene and thought it more effected the pattern color, not the pattern itself. The more you know!

We looked this little guy over sooooooo many times, i am shocked he never bit anyone lol. With each BEL crossing they each have there own distinct look outcome. I like the mojave x lesser crossing because its a more cleaner look in my opinion. Then add in the GHI and pastel , well it becomes a BLAST

i think the "orange" stripe can also be attributed to the Pastel.
