Same exact reptile basics large hides. But the funny thing is I put him in the hot hide a few hours ago and he came out and has been laying stretched out between the hot and cool side and I just now looked up to check on him and he is half way in his hot hide lol well actually now he is all the way in haha of course I start a thread and waste everyone's time and he decides to use it on his own

Haha, ain't that the way it goes?

Well I was gonna suggest maybe putting a slightly smaller hide on the warm side, as maybe he just doesn't feel secure and maybe that's why he's chilling between the two. But it could just be nothing.

He normally is in the cool hide, not going to the hot hide was the problem. I think he was out just to be out. He is 1160 grams and barley fits through the entrance of the RBI large hides and fills it out pretty good with just a little extra room, not much though.

Ahh, ok. Nevermind then. Hopefully he's good now!

    Re: Only using cool hide

He was already back in his cool hide this morning. Was only in there a short amount of time. I might turning the hide the same as the cool. The room is very dark so I have a dimmed led light in there and the way the cool hide is turned little to no light gets in and the way the hot hide is turned light does get in.
