Acurite in my experience is more accurate than thermometers that are labeled for reptiles. They give readings the same as my thermostats. Plus you can put the probe on the hot spot and put the unit on cool side and get your cool temps and humidity all from one unit.
As for multi probe thermometer you can run to different setups I have not seen one. In the diy forum stickies there is an acurite mod that you can make your humidity and cool temp into probes so you don't have to put the unit inside the cage for cool side temps and humidity.

Thanks. I don't expect something labeled for reptiles is any more accurate. In fact all I expect is that it's more expensive! Like Aspen bedding in a petstore!
I wonder how these got to be popular as opposed to other brands out there?
I'll order a couple off Amazon thanks.

I just ordered the one from amazon and OMG i wish i had sooner!! Turns out that all the time i thought i was turing my snake into jerky, the humidity was actually OK, and when i thought i got it right i had actually created a reptilian schvitz. I had a feeling something was off when it read 70% humidity but i had condensation all over the walls and puddling on the floor. It was one of those cheesy pet store brand analog ones, the 2-pack with the similarly useless thermometer which cost just as much as my new accurite. I had already replaced the thermometer with a pair of the little yellow digital probes, so now although i could just ditch the little yellows b/c as suggested above i have the unit on the cool side and the probe on the hot side, instead i am simultaneously monitoring the cool side, the middle of the tank (where snake spends the most time it seems) the actual surface of the UTH and the ambient temp on the warm side about an inch off the floor. Maybe its over-kill but i say knowledge is power! (now how to convince myself that i need a laster therm gun too?)

They really are as good as they sound. I currently have 10 now lol I've only have had a problem with one that read -40 and acurite sent me a new one free. So I'll have 11 once that one gets here. They have a 1 year warranty so if anything goes wrong make sure you call them. I've salt tested 3 of them and humidity is spot on as for the other 7 I put them next to one of the ones I tested to make sure I get the same readings and the cool temp is always exact as well. I also put the temp probes one a new one next to ones I have to make sure there right and other than the -40 one they all have been perfect. I still can use the -40 one for the unit temp reading and humidity so that's a plus, I'm going to try to resolder the connections on the probe so maybe I can make it work again.
I also over kill as the person said above me. I use 4 for each of my bps. I have 1 probe under substrate for uth hot temp and 1 above substrate in hide for surface temp and then I use an rhp that runs the length of cage for my male so another probe outside cool hide and one in hide and then my female the same for her hot uth temp one under sub and one above in hide and since her cool side stays at 73 I put a uth for cool side so I do the same for cool side as I do hot side. I'm making payments on another bp that will be paid off next month and her cage is going to run on just an rhp so I'm only using one unit for her with probe in hot hide and unit on cool for humidity and cool temp. Might get another just to have a probe inside hide for cool temp lol

You have me sold on it. I'm going to order 3 at least. I posted in another thread, asking about what's the best Radiant Heat Panel to get. There are so many brands. I don't need the most expensive, though maybe this is a product where you get what you pay for?
What RHP did you chose, and why did you choose it?
Also, what laser temp gun do you recommend. I found a bunch from Etekcity on Amazon, but cannot figure out which one to get. Like does it matter if your temp gun has 2 lasers vs 1?

Since your already read my post in your rhp thread I'll answer the temp gun part. All my temp guns have cost me over $100. Amazon has one from etekcity that a few people use but I have no experience with it myself. 2 lasers vs 1 I'm not sure about either. I've heard good things about the tg-412L from reptile basics but I haven't used that either, I'm going to be ordering it soon bc one of my expensive ones took a crap and I don't wanna spend what I did on another but if you order an rhp from them and the temp gun and anything else you may need you get free shipping over $100. What I would do is order one that has decent reviews and test it against the acurite thermometer readings and then if its a few degrees off just remember by how much but if it gives you different readings every time you test it I would send it back.

Wow over a $100 !! Is it used to measure fusion experiments heh I used to have faith in electronics, but over the years things are made more cheaply time and time again.
That's a good idea to compare against the Accurite, I'll do that, thanks! Also, thanks on the RHP advice. I'm looking up RepBasics now. I've had Pro-Products bookmarked for eons. I've never heard anyone complain about them so far.

The reptile basics temp gun I mentioned was $50 but the ones I have are over $100. Lol I wanted ones that worked good and they do. Reptile basics is a really good company. I just bought cleaner, another rhp, have 6 hides from them, and some of the VE thermostats from them. As long as you have a thermostat you don't need to worry about any heat source burning your snakes.

Yeah RepBasics is new to me. They remind me of Big Apple Herp from the late 1990s. Though now it seems Big Apple has turned to selling animals, and dramatically reduced their supply products. They used to have an old looking site with TONS of products, now they have a clean looking web site with few products hah.
What cleaner did you get?

F10sc and f10scxd its really something everyone should have I think. At least something similar. If you have bps they would really enjoy the hides they make. They are probably there most popular product
