Price for Bananas all over the place?

These are really good points. I was wondering if male vs female had something to do with it, I kind of figured it would. I would guess that female maker males would go for a pretty good price too though, since they have the potential to throw a clutch of all female bananas?

True. I guess both females or female makers would fetch a hefty price. Females because they can make female makers, and female makers because they have the potential to make multiple female bananas.

If a male maker Banana did sire a female (From what I understand, that is entirely possible), then the female would be a male maker, since she was the product of a male banana. But those male offspring would be female makers, since the mother was banana. Only if you got the random female from her would you have a female-maker female?

If my understanding above is correct, I would imagine that a single-gene male-maker male would be at the lowest end of the price bracket, and a multi-gene female-maker female would be at the highest end, with the rest spread out between.

I think that my desire for a female banana may be along time being fulfilled.

That's incorrect. Female bananas regardless of their parents seem to produce normal sex ratios. It's only the males that can be male makers or female makers.

From my understanding, I'm pretty sure that females throw equal odds no matter what. The females would need to come from either a female maker or a male maker (at crazy low odds) either way right? If it worked that way it would be the same as the males and no females would throw even odds at all.

Since everyone has covered everything else I'll just talk about this part. It is possible, just unlikely. I forget who did the video but they were talking about making super bananas and said that they've seen like a 1 in 10 chance that the male pops out a baby that's opposite of what he's supposed to make. The guy is a big breeder (the guy from NERD I think) so I trust what he says, but from looking at clutches posted online it seems like it might be lower odds than that even.
