Same here, I kill a carnivorous plant every year or two when I get the hankering to try again. I've got some kind of pitcher plant seeds in the fridge now that I'm pulling in a couple weeks. Reading the instructions it states that this particular plant requires a winter dormancy and I'm supposed to toss it in the fridge for a couple months each year after it dies to stimulate regrowth. Maybe there's something like that you need to do with the flytraps?
