    Egg retention?

One of my breeder females is taking to long to lay eggs! 50days since the pre lay shed. Today was coiled around the water bowl, so no evident signs that is about to lay.

She is with 3,4kg, her normal weight is arond 2,5kg, and she is full of eggs. Don't know if i wait ou go to the vet, but if shes about to lay that could be very stressful.

Are close is the first egg compare to the vent?

And most importantly are you sure she ovulated and had a pre-lay shed?

I missed the ovulation, but last year i missed to. She had a shed at 15 February, wich i tought being the pre lay shed... what else would it be? she's a big girl with 8 years so i think it was not a shed of growth.

the first egg is not close to the vent like "egg bounding"

Adult shed and it does not mean it's a pre=lay shed. Just like sometimes you will see females shed prior to an ovulation but not after (not all females are textbook) which is why I only use ovulation as a timeline.

How far is the first egg from the vent and how many eggs are there?
