what size enclosure will she need? i'm considering one myself now that i know cornsnake-size Retics exist.
I'm thinking 4x2. Right now she's in a bin, then into a half of a t10. Even at a year, they usually are only 3-4 feet and slender.

That sounds right. I was asking my bf about your little cutie and showing your pics since I'd never seen one so small (him and his dad work with retics, dwarf and superdwarf), he was telling me this locale maxes out around 4' (and that they are usually quite flighty of course). I'm really looking forward to seeing/hearing about your gal as time progresses!

She's actually pretty calm. I was expecting her to be more flighty. When you first take her out she's a little flighty, but settles down fast. She sat in my hand tonight for about 20 minutes, just kind of looks around. I expect her to end up around 6-7 feet.

Not yet, but soon. I ended up with 50 hoppers from big cheese, because that's what she was eating when I got her, and they sell them by the 50. She's grown a little, but still too small for 2. Maybe in a few weeks.

They are hard to find. I haven't seen anymore for sale since. I'd love a male for future breeding, but Will keep it to just 1 for now. They really are amazing. Every time I have her out I can't believe she's a retic. I feel guilty because she's turning into my favorite, and I feel bad for my albino ball python girl. They both get treated the same, the retic is just more entertaining.

Don't feel guilty at all. Retics are much more - not social exactly - but tolerant and accepting of people and handling than most other snake species.

They are. When they look at you, it feels like they are really looking at you, not just in your direction. Its hard to explain. They just seem more aware.

Re: 100% kalatoa female is here!

I agree with BCR and Yodawagon. I noticed mine to be watching me the other night. I have many different species of snakes, but the retic was almost immediately my new favorite. He seems to actually like to come out of the cage. Lately, when I've opened it, he comes launching out like he thinks there is food. Cute now, but won't be so cute when he's big!
