    Getting my first bci!

I am so excited! My friend has a young male BCI that she was going to trade in, but felt reluctant to part with him because he's been with her collection for a while. I fell in love with him on the way to the shop and she agreed to hold him for me while I get the money! His name is Alduin and he's a Double Dose Pastel Dream Hypo Het Coral Albino!
He's slim so I'm feeding rat pups to start. He's not in my possession yet but will be by my next paycheck. What cage size would he need as an adult?

For a male, you want a 4x2. Also remember boas are not pythons. They have a much slower metabolism so can be overfed very easily. Also they aren't supposed be round like a python. They should be kind of square like a loaf of bread. And also boas are not as stretchy as pythons when it comes to food so staying on the small side is better than too big or you might end up with regurgitation. In BIs, its not so common as they are garbage disposals but in a BC, too large can be a problem.

Thanks! I new about the metabolism and shape :3 he's definitely a healthy booger and I think pups are perfect. I watched him take one last night and it was actually adorable.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

4x2 is generally going to be an ideal size for most adult boas. To add more square footage you can add a shelf too. Congrats on your upcoming new friend!
