    Scale rot?

This is concerning my ball python Chai. I only noticed this after his recent shed, but could this be some sort of scale rot? I keep him on paper towels and change the paper towels frequently as well as clean the whole cage weekly. The bin I keep him in is also ventilated. If this is scale rot, how can I go about treating it? Is there an over the counter topic antibiotic I can get to help him immediately? I'm very concerned.

That looks like a burn to me. Are you using a UTH, and if so, are you regulating the temp with a thermostat?

Looks like a burn to me too I'd put some neosporin without pain relief on it and get your heat source under control with a thermostat
