    Re: Need Recommendation for Thermostat

I have 1 herpstat intro paid 109.00 love it its a proportional thermostat and what i love the most over the 2 zoomeds i own is the alarm that goes off if the temp goes over or under the range i set it for. Don't get me wrong the 60.00 zoomeds work great but the herpstat gives more piece of mind that the uth is working correctly.I am slowly switching all my tanks to herpstats as finances allow.

Yea, it's hard to lay that much money down, but with one or a few snakes, you're ultimately buying something to protect your $1000.00+ investment. Do you want to trust that to a cheap product?

    Herpstat gets my vote.
Well you got to think of it this way too, a T-stat is the single most important piece of equipment for your snake. It is going to deliver the right amount of heat to keep that snake alive and from getting cooked or frozen. So its not something you want to skimp on as the end results can cost you hundreds or a dead snake. I too use a Herpstat 1 and 2. Debating on a 4 or 6 after I get my 2 gals their new AP T13s as i'll then be focusing on a GTP and I will need another Herpstat lol.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
