Re: Do you all mist your carpet enclosures?

I really like your enclosure Gio. Which brand is it? I'm not sure if I'm getting more AP cages, which I love, or if I'll try Constrictors NW or PVC Cages. I was just on Nick's website yesterday. I'm thinking about getting another coastal or jungle . He has some beautiful female caramel jags that would be perfect for my male caramel coastal. I'm just a little leery about keeping jags because of the potential neuro issues.

    Thank you!

That is a Pro-Line from Constrictors NW.

I have been looking at coastals at Nick's page as well.

This video talks a little about the Jag issues. He bought all his carpets from Ed Lilley (Constrictors NW) and seems to know a bit about the level of neurological issues in certain snakes.

I think if you plan to purchase from Nick or any other reputable breeder you should wind up OK if you do go Jag.

I'm more of a locality, or "Mother Nature" colors type guy so I'm not experienced with Jag carpets.

This guy uses several cage brands. He seems to like Pro-Line, AP and Boaphile.

Personally I'd pick Pro-Line or AP based on the increased ceiling, heavier and better quality material.

The Boaphiles do look nice though.

Keep us posted on the potential new snake!

don't be, this is no more serious than the BP Spider wobble. I've got 8 jags in my collection, 6 of them adults. 6 of them have imperceptible wobble, 1 has mild but noticeable wobble and 1 has a case of can't tell up from down. The one with the bad case had a pretty good wobble right out of the egg. It became more extreme a few years down the road. All the others have had no change from their hatchling state. With the exception of two 2015 hatchlings, all are now 8-9 yrs old. Ask Nick about the snakes you're interested in, I'm sure he'll be straightforward with you. I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet anything he produces with severe wobble does not get offered for sale.
