And for what it's worth, I try to advise people throwing old mice/rats out: if you have a patch of woods near your house, chuck it in there! There are plenty of hungry scavengers who will gobble it up, and that way the rodent doesn't have to die in vain.Just make sure it's far away from any roads where nothing will get hit trying to eat it!
