    I think that is all part of the courting process. Her laying on top of him, the moving to a different side of the enclosure. Remember what you don't see is him stimulating her with his spurs and the tactile part of the courtship. I would just stick to my time frame of pairing and separating. Also the separation of the pair plays a role in the reception and acceptance on the females part. Definitely not a dead issue, you have to continue to introduce , separate and then reintroduce.
