    The first month....

    Hey gang,

Had my ball 1 month now and wanted to see what everyone thought of current weight...not sure how old my snake is, PetSmart told me 6 weeks old the day I purchased.

Had 4 successful feedings so far and it looks like my snake is going into his first shed...as you can see the eyes are glazed over...should I expect a full shed soon? I've been keeping the humidity up in the tank to help the process...

Does the current weight of my snake look good? How about the body pic? Everything seem the norm?

Looks good! 100 grams or so and 4 feedings in your care is a great start. I'm sure he'll shed for you in the next week or so. Keep up the good work.

both refer to pattern. banded is his unbroken pattern that goes over his back, from his left side to right. reduced is the lack of black dots within with side pattern/alien heads. (i only see 2 dots in this pix.) and before u ask, alien head refers to the their side patterns (usually with dots and squiggles that looks likes eyes).

Got ya. Thanks. So is my ball not the normal pattern? I paid 24.99 for him. They were 50 percent off...that a good deal for that pattern?

That is still a normal (no visual morphs) while banded and reduced, these are just mild pattern genetic features, size and weight look good as the others have said ..... On average you will want his humidity around 55-60% but you'll want to bump his humidity around 70-75% once you notice he gets the pink belly or blue eyes until he sheds for you
