Ax do i take the picture with the camera facing the light or with the light behind the camera?

What I suggest is that you get a table and a white cloth to put On top. And place the snake where the light shines through the most. But make sure to set the white balance and lighting on it so that the camera knows the capacity you have. After you do that take picture at your leisure
