    Ball python fell

    Hey All,
I was watching my 5 month old ball python in his enclosure right now and he was climbing up and stretching his body up vertically into the air, when suddenly, with no intervention by me, he fell side ways (probably lost his balance) and hit the side of his head on the glass tank. Should I be worried? This is of course after exhibiting other unnatural behavior like hissing when I didn't do anything, and staying away from his hot side hide. I am sure the hot side isn't too hot by the way. It is now on a thermostat set to 105, and is 100 on the glass, and around 85 on the aspen surface.
    Thanks,
    HenryTheSnake

Yeah 100 too much... 90-95 is prime... 90 if ya can... I see ya went sideways too... it takes a good day or so for the glass to fully heat up as well as the area around it(bedding and other panes of glass)

I'm sure they take spills all the time, we just don't see it. I wouldn't worry unless his hisses have a studder. Lol

He will be fine. I have a female when she is really defensive actually try and scare me away by headbutting the side of the tub a few times. Then i just reach in and she coils up and we start again the next time lol.

I had one that I swear would fall into her water bowl on purpose when she was little. I'd watch her climb up onto a branch, fall off, land in the water, get out, and do it all over again.

No explanation for it other than spider derp.
