is that on the hot side? For the 2 weeks her temp has been low (68 degrees) and it was a huge concern for me.
don’t stress about that part just yet. They can hold and do hold it for long periods of time (over a month with no feces is not that uncommon)I also haven't seen much feces either.
when she yawns does she keep her mouth open for a long period of time or is it quickly shut? First and most important thing is to get the heat where it should be. If its 68 on the hot spot she could be developing an RI from the cold. Try not to stress too much. My recommendation is to keep a close eye out for signs of RI
1. Check her mouth/nose for mucus
2. Move the side of her bottom lip down with your thumb and check for small bubbles. Should be a nice pink color with no bubbles.
3. Take her out and handle her for 10-15 min then turn off anything that makes sounds and while holding her up close to your ear listen for wheezing/popping. You should not be able to hear breath.
4. Check the sides of her enclosure for smudge marks. if they are producing mucus as the result of an RI you will sometimes find evidence of that rubbed off on the walls of their enclosure.
You always want to be mindful of their behavior but people often to stress over nothing. You may just be noticing her yawn more because your worried about her health and have been watching her every move lol. Start with getting the heat right and looking out for signs of RI or other illnesses.
